1. What Connect VFX Does

Connect VFX operates an independent intelligence platform for the visual effects, 3D, animation, and digital production industry:

1. Aggregated Job Directory: Structured, AI-categorized job openings indexed directly from studio career portals and ATS systems.
2. Creator Showcase: Professional directory enabling visual effects creators to showcase credits, software proficiencies, and availability.
3. Recruiter Search & API Feeds: Programmatic feeds and discovery tools enabling studio hiring teams to source verified talent.
4. AI-Assisted Matching: Semantic analysis tools highlighting relevant software skills and open vacancies.

2. Job Listings and Hiring Disclaimers

• Independent Aggregator: Connect VFX is an independent directory, not an employer, staffing agency, or recruiter. We do not act as an employer in relation to any job posted on the site.
• Application Routing: Applying for a job redirects you to the hiring studio's external application portal or ATS (e.g. Greenhouse, Lever, Workday).
• No Placement Guarantee: Connect VFX does not guarantee job availability, interview calls, or hiring outcomes. External job openings are subject to change without notice.

3. Recruiter API & Talent Directory Rules

Recruiters, studios, and developers accessing our talent directory or Recruiter API agree to the following binding terms:

• Recruitment Purpose Only: Profile data and portfolio links may be used solely for evaluating candidates for genuine entertainment and digital production vacancies.
• No Resale or Data Harvesting: You may not scrape, harvest, sublicense, resell, or distribute our talent directory to third parties or data brokerages.
• Anti-Spam & Outreach Compliance: All outreach directed to candidates must strictly comply with the EU ePrivacy Directive, GDPR, and CAN-SPAM.
• Recruiter Indemnification: You agree to defend and fully indemnify Connect VFX against any third-party claims, penalties, or damages arising out of unsolicited communications, spam, or unlawful outreach conducted by your organization.
• Deletion Synchronization: If a creator deletes or unlists their profile on Connect VFX, you must remove their details from your internal active sourcing shortlists within thirty (30) days.
• Data Processing Addendum: For enterprise customers requiring formal GDPR Article 28 data processor terms, our Data Processing Addendum (DPA) is incorporated by reference.

4. Acceptable Use and Platform Protection

You agree not to:

• Use automated scrapers, headless bots, or spiders to mass-extract data from the Platform without prior written agreement.
• Circumvent security protections, rate-limiting tokens, or access controls.
• Submit false, misleading, defamatory, or infringing content.

Security rate-limiting is calibrated to block abusive automated mass scraping; normal browsing by individual human users and exercise of privacy rights will not be restricted.

5. AI Matching & Human-in-the-Loop Safeguards

• Informational AI Scores: Semantic match scores are generated solely to assist human review. Connect VFX does not make automated employment, interview, or rejection determinations (GDPR Art. 22).
• No Placement Warranty: AI algorithms do not guarantee job offers or interviews.

6. Intellectual Property

• Connect VFX: The platform design, software taxonomy, search algorithms, and branding are the exclusive intellectual property of Connect VFX.
• Studio Trademarks: Studio logos and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners and are used strictly for nominative identification.
• Creator Content: Creators retain full ownership of their submitted portfolios, credits, and resumes.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, CONNECT VFX DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. IN NO EVENT SHALL CONNECT VFX BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED EUROS (€100) OR THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO CONNECT VFX IN THE PRECEDING TWELVE (12) MONTHS.

8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any dispute arising from or related to them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of The Netherlands (European Union), without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding shall be instituted exclusively in the competent courts of Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
