- Account & Profile Data: Name, professional title, primary discipline (e.g. FX TD, Compositor, Modeler), software proficiencies, public portfolio URLs (LinkedIn, ArtStation, Vimeo, GitHub), and resume summary if you choose to claim a profile.
- Job Alerts: Search query keywords, location preferences, and your email address.
- Support Inquiries: Communications and removal requests sent to our team.
B. Publicly Aggregated Professional Data (Creator Directory)
To help artists discover job opportunities and studios discover talent, Connect VFX indexes publicly accessible, professional information from:
- Public film, television, and game credit rolls.
- Public creative portfolio platforms (e.g. ArtStation, Behance, LinkedIn, Vimeo).
In accordance with GDPR Article 14(5)(b) (disproportionate effort), we maintain this public creative directory without harvesting unnecessary private contact details. We never ingest private home addresses, private phone numbers, or private communications.
C. Technical & Security Data
- Network Logs: IP address (processed transiently for rate-limiting and DDoS defense), browser user-agent, and referring page.
- Local Storage: Minimal first-party storage strictly used to remember your UI preferences (Light/Dark theme) and authentication state. No third-party cross-site advertising trackers.

- With Verified Recruiters & Studios: Studio hiring teams can search and view public creator profiles and portfolio links. Recruiters are legally bound to use this data solely for legitimate recruitment.
- Infrastructure Subprocessors: We utilize trusted, enterprise-grade cloud providers bound by strict data processing agreements:
- Vercel Inc.: Edge hosting, CDN, and DDoS mitigation.
- Supabase Inc.: Encrypted cloud database and authentication.
- Google Cloud Enterprise AI: Stateless semantic skill enrichment (zero data retention, zero AI model training).
- Resend Inc.: Transactional email alerts with instant 1-click unsubscribe delivery.
- Legal Requirements: Disclosed only if mandatory under European law or valid court order.
4. International Data Transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we ensure adequate protections through the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF) and European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
5. Your Rights and 48-Hour Removal SLA
Under GDPR (Articles 15–22) and California CPRA, you have full rights to access, update, export, or permanently erase your data at any time.

If you are an artist or creator and wish to have your profile unlisted or permanently removed from Connect VFX, you can delete it in your dashboard settings or email our privacy team directly. All removal requests are processed within forty-eight (48) hours.

Connect VFX does not sell personal information for monetary compensation and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents may exercise their right to know, delete, or opt out at any time by contacting privacy@connectvfx.com.
